Yoga Poses to Relieve Back Pain During Pregnancy

I am officially 35 weeks pregnant, and loving every minute of it!

Although I am 45lbs lighter than I was during pregnancy number one, this pregnancy my back does seem to ache more than before. When driving, or even just sitting in a comfy chair or couch, it just aches. It feels better to have something hard and firm stuck in the middle of my back. It at least helps to relieve the pain.

So I have really been enjoying some great chest opener and back bend yoga poses during this pregnancy. Sometimes while teaching class, I just want to sit in Camel Pose for like 20minutes. That's how good it feels! (although I'm sure my students wouldn't really appreciate that)

Here are some amazing Yoga Poses to relieve back pain during pregnancy! (or if your back just tends to ache after a long day)

*You will need a block and a bolster (or firm pillow)

Camel Pose (can do this from your knees or standing)

All of these poses do some amazing things to relieve back stress. Just breathe in each pose for at least 7-10 long breaths, or longer if it feels good.

The last two I enjoy all the time for relaxing, or distressing/calming the mind before sleeping. Try them, and enjoy the time to yourself!
