How to stay healthy during a season of sickness

This time of year can be full of illnesses....and if you have kids, it's usually double time. It's gets passed from one kid to the other in school, then you are lucky if you can keep a kid quarantined in your home without passing it around to all your kids, the husband, and yourself! 

That's when antibiotics come in so handy! But did you know that after being on a string of antibiotics, your health can actually be compromised. Not to mention it can also impact how our body processes food, and how much fat we store from the calories we eat!

Check out this video I did this week teaching you ways to stay healthy during a season of sickness. That way next time you are on antibiotics, you can use some of these tips to take extra care of your body and health overall.

How to Trigger Fat Loss in the Body!

Here's a couple of statistics to get your attention: 

  • More than 2 in 3 adults are considered to be overweight or obese.
  • More than 1 in 20 adults are considered to have extreme obesity.
  • About one-third of children and adolescents ages 6 to 19 are considered to be overweight or obese.
  • More than 1 in 6 children and adolescents ages 6 to 19 are considered to be obese.


This is why I am so passionate about helping people get healthy & fit! I fully believe that WOMEN are the catalyst in their families! And when women are changed, generations are changed! 

I also know that fitting in time to take care of yourself as mom, wife, a work women, can be nearly impossible! That's why my goal is to create simple solutions to help you do just that!

Full Body Kettlebell Workout


Remember back in October, I asked for a kettle bell for my birthday!?!? (see my awesome birthday list HERE) I realized I don't use it near enough, so I decided to start changing my workout up some, and including some more at-home workouts.

This past week I did a HITT workout from my Turbo Fire DVD. I showed a short clip of it on my Instagram! If you didn't know this about me, I love kickboxing, and the HITT workouts are high intensity, and for short periods of time. Which is great for when the baby is napping, but I need to get other things done as well. That way I have time for a quick workout that gets my heart rate going and me sweating, but can still clean, etc. 

I also started doing this awesome, full body kettle bell workout! It is seriously crazy how quickly my heart rate gets going, and I get sweating while doing this workout! It's awesome, and I am definitely sore the day after!
