Just about every weekend I spend some time making some of my favorite healthy snacks. It's my way of making sure our family is ready to have a success week of healthy eating! Plus when you live a sugar free lifestyle, preparation is KEY! Since mostly every snack around us...in convenient stores, grocery stores, etc...all contain sugar.
It only takes a couple of hours. I decide which snacks we will have for the week, add the ingredients to my shopping list, then prep for an hour or so. I usually will make two batches of each and freeze parts of them so that we have plenty! When I have prepped snacks, not only is it good for me, but it's great for keeping my husband away from junk food!
Lately I have been utilizing Bob's Red Mill Nutritional Boosters and Protein Powders in a lot of my snack recipes. A few weeks ago I shared this amazing Butter Nuggets recipes! These things are full of protein, plus taste like candy!
I love adding protein powder to lots of healthy snacks. Plus when using Bob's Red Mill products you know that they are sugar free, gluten free, vegan and full of probiotics (which we could all use more of for that gut health!).
Here's some of my favorite weekly snacks to make:
- Power Packed Granola (aka healthy cereal to mix with almond milk)
- Protein Pancakes (freeze them and use them throughout the week)
- Protein Waffles (freeze and pop them in a toaster when you want them)
- Protein Bites
- Granola Balls
- Butter Nuggets
