So if you have been around the Naturally Sisters any then you know that it is not a new thing for me, Little Sis to be in love with the colors yellow and gray! I have been wanting to redo my room in yellow and gray so badly! But since I have only been married just 3 years now, I thought it was a bit too soon to get new decor for my room. So I settled last year about this time when we made our own outdoor furniture.
So I got some awesome Yellow & Gray Patio Furniture! Check it our here at Inspired by Yellow in Gray. Well this year for Christmas we asked for new bedding. Which is a big cost of a new room. And we got a wonderful gray duvet!
I love it. The color is simple but the texture is fun. Anyways, this inspired both me and my husband! We started looking on Pinterest and got plenty of ideas. For now I want to share with you our INSPIRATION for our Room Makeover. But soon I will share with you the projects we are doing. I am so excited because most of what we are doing includes projects for us together....which we both enjoy.
Here are some of the main pins from my Pinterest board Yellow & Gray that inspired our new room.
This is a big inspiration. I have loved this room for a very long time. My favorite part is the half canopy that they made above their bed. We are definitely doing that in our room. Plus I like the little addition of white/black in the gray & yellow themed room. We liked the look of the two canvas artworks on either side of the bed, so we are going to do something similar to that as well.
We loved the look of this headboard. Once again having black and white along with your colors, we loved that. Plus the black furniture with the yellow and gray looks so much better than our current brown furniture. So one big project is redoing our headboard. We will be painting it black, and instead of a stencil on top, we are going to do something with fabric! I am very excited about this!
This was mainly just a fun swatch board for me. I like the different patterns and of course the use of colors.
So to get started, I headed to Hancock's Fabric and we picked out some various patterns to go together. Here's what I got! I spent quite a bit there, but because of coupons I had from before Christmas I saved $60! I was thrilled!
