I know it's been around for a while, but recently (this past year), I've really started to use it and enjoy it!
Today I'm going to explain to you WHY I use it, and HOW I make it, plus stay tuned for my favorite way to enjoy a HOLIDAY DRINK at Starbucks!
Let's start with the WHY I BULLET PROOF COFFEE! Then I'll tell you HOW I do it!
Many days I like to do what's called intermittent fasting. In short, it means that my eating window each day is a smaller amount of time. So I stay in a "fasted state" from about 10PM-12PM the next day, so my eating window is about 10 hours. I still eat the same amount of food during that time, I'm just eating during a shorter period throughout the day. This enables my body to get it's energy from fat storages (while I'm fasted), thus burning more fat!

So while I'm in this fasted state, it's a perfect time to have BULLET PROOF COFFEE, so that I'm getting a little fuel in the mornings, and the MCT oil used in Bullet Proof Coffee allows my brain to function at a higher level! I am literally more focused and productive in the hours after drinking my BPC than on other days.
So instead of eating a carb filled breakfast, while actually can create brain fog, and feelings of sluggishness, then mid-morning a crash that makes you want more carbs or sugars, I'm fueling my body with MCT oil and healthy fats that help me stay focused and energized!

Now to the HOW...How to I create this amazing, and delicious drink each morning!
Here's what you need:
- 8-16oz of coffee in a blender
- 1 TBSP MCT Oil (I get mine from Swanson)
- 1 TBSP grass fed butter
- Shake or two of your favorite seasoning-I like cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
- 1 TBSP Collagen (I use the Mom Fuel Vanilla Collagen, adds a perfect vanilla flavor and sweetener too, it's a great sugar free coffee creamer!)
BLEND it all together in a blender, then enjoy! It's amazing!

MY FAVORITE SUGAR FREE STARBUCKS DRINK:
A flat white with cinnamon powder infused into the cream! (or nutmeg)
Cinnamon powder & nutmeg powder are both just seasonings with no added sweeteners to them at Starbucks. The way a flat white is natural sweeter than other expresso drinks.
According to a Starbucks spokesperson, its flat white “is made with two ristretto shots, topped with a thin layer of velvety steamed whole milk and finished with a latte art dot. Starbucks baristas perfectly steam milk into creamy micro-foam and carefully free pour to allow the espresso to rise to the top of the beverage for a bold coffee flavor with a sweeter finish.”
So it's a great drink to enjoy! They also have the HOLIDAY SPICE FLAT WHITE, where the espresso is infused with holiday spices, but it's also infused with some sugar as well, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to know how much or what kind it's infused with. However, if you are really struggling to give up your holiday drink, this is a better option than the Peppermint Mocha's that you may be used to!
*If you want your drink sweeter, ask them to add a honey or two in it!
