CrossFit Update

So I have completed my first month of CrossFit! I know I have not updated as much as I planned to… but sometimes I feel like I just don't have time. Or… perhaps that is an excuse. I have been loving it and I FOR SURE feel like I am getting stronger. I am amazing at how the muscles in my arms have changed over the last two months with Body Beast and Cross Fit… but I am just now losing the weight like I hoped. So it can be a bit discouraging.

However, I am trying to focus on the positive here.. and the positive is… I can life pretty heavy for a NEWBIE! I am learning all of the right techniques for certain lifts and I am enjoying it. I LOVE the Group classes. For 10 sessions I was doing Personal Training sessions… and where those were pertinent for my success and I enjoyed my Coach… I LOVE being in the classes. I feel like I push myself more… I feel like my workouts are better.

The last WOD,  yesterday, was the hardest for me yet. It was a 20minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible). Where it doesn't seem so hard.. it is. I was going on the lighter side… a total of 55 pounds.. 5 Power Cleans, 5 Front Squats, and 5 Toe to Bar. I modified the Toe to Bar and went with it.. I did a total of 11 rounds…. I was proud- though I was trying to get 12. I was worn out, physically when it was over.

I am SO excited to see where I go from here… I am loving it.. the people, the workouts, all of it! I hope to share more with you in the coming weeks!
