I am something amazing to share with you! It's amazing because it is EASY and soooo YUMMY!
I recently decided that instead of buying a bunch of snacks, (I am pregnant, so I have to have snacks these days) :-) That I would make homemade bulk snacks that we could have. So I made chex mix, frozen smoothie pops, fruit roll ups, and now these yummy protein-granola bars!
So I wanted to share this yummy 5 Ingredient Granola Bar Recipe with you!
Rolled Oats-4 cups
Unsalted Almonds-1/2 cup
Natural Honey-1/2 cup
Natural Peanut Butter-3/4 cup
Protein Powder-2 servings
Add Ins: (optional)
Here's how it's done! You just mix the oats and almonds, (you can use any nut of your choice, or multiple if you want. I use sliced almonds or if I use a full nut I chop them in my blender some to make them smaller. You can now add the protein powder that you choose to use, and in add ins that you are putting in your bars. I used chocolate chips for these, my favorite to use are the mini-chocolate chips. Then you mix in the honey in. After that you melt the peanut butter and add that to the mixture, mixing it thoroughly to make sure everything gets gooey. You might need to use your hands some to mix it thoroughly and get rid of all the dry ingredients. You may even want to add a little more melted peanut butter if you would like.
From here, go ahead and take a bite of it! YUM!! Sometimes I just want to leave it like this, and you can if you want. Or you can lay it out on parchment paper or a greased pan. Use a 9x13 inch pan, and make it about half an inch thick. Then just bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Once it cools you can cut it into squares or bars or however you want.
Then enjoy as a yummy snack anytime!
